Being a Maintenance Technician, you will be a part of the Sense Colour Maintenance team located in Overseal, Derbyshire and reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager.
You will perform routine and more complex electrical and mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance and installation of equipment promptly to minimise changes to site operations, all within your capabilities following the site training matrix.
The hours are 40 per week on a shift rota covering the hours 6am to 10pm.
You will:
Work following all Givaudan procedures.
Maintain a CMMS planned preventative maintenance system, SAP
Manage routine, preventative and planned maintenance of the plant and equipment.
Work with contractors on projects and maintaining equipment
Provide technical support/input to projects
Respond to emergency breakdowns including finding and fixing faults
Perform modifications and installations
Provide on call cover and work overtime when requested
You have:
Served a recognised Engineering Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering
5+ years experience in a similar role
Level 3 (NVQ) Diploma in Engineering Maintenance or equivalent qualification
Some knowledge of electrical systems including control systems
Mechanical repairs and fault finding skills
Experience of welding and fabrication
Be conversant with Health and Safety requirements and to perform tasks under current legislation
