As a Team Leader for the Samples department, you will be part of the growing Sense Colour Team of Givaudan. You will supply colour samples for all requests to service the requirements of our customers, following the departmental targets.
Located in Overseal, Derbyshire, you will report to the Head of Distribution and Samples. In this exciting and fairly new role, you will lead a team of sample technicians to enable efficient processing of sample requests. Your challenge is to take the department to the next level. Working with other departments, you will ensure the availability of stock for requests. Monitor the samples process and requirements following Company Indicators and on site targets for GMP and Health and Safety.
You will:
Operate systems (SAP, LCMS, Manual Work Station) to process sample requests, access products/ingredients stock availability and prepare shipments.
Manage the laboratory stock of ordered samples, control encapsulation, containers/dispensers, product labels, and packaging comply with product safety and transportation regulations.
Organise the department workload, managing the lab area and tasks outside of sample requests.
Monitor sample stocks and product rotation and dispose of obsolete materials.
Process simple shipments via DHL or FEDEX.
Prepare all necessary technical documentation required for transportation and customs clearance (for international shipments).
Liaise with QC, planning and production for lab stock replenishment and availability.
Communicate with Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, Science and Innovation and Commercial to solve customer complaints related to e.g. product availability, quality and shipping delays.
Manufacturing product on a small scale for sample requests.
You have:
A vocational diploma (pre-university level)
2+ years of experience in logistics in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of logistics and distribution processes
Knowledge of product safety and transportation regulations.
Knowledge of customs regulations.
