In this exciting role you will make a significant contribution to the safety, efficiency and future-orientation of the Ashford site working with internal and external partners. In Ashford, we have multiple technical facilities in Fragrance and Oral Care production and our scientific, creation and support teams’ infrastructure that fall within your responsibilities and offer a varied range of tasks.
You will report directly to the Head of Operations in Ashford.
This exciting position awaits you:
- Safety: You will manage local projects in the Engineering department to support the site's environmental, health and safety objectives. You will lead by example and join the "safety first" mentality of the entire organisation.
- Quality: The impeccable quality of our products is key. The Engineering department makes an important contribution to ensuring the best quality of our products and processes.
- Service: Together with your organisation, you offer our internal customers a reliable service. System availability and short response times are of central importance here.
- Cost and budget responsibility: You have a flair for figures and keep track of costs in the area of Engineering and Utilities. You can derive the right conclusions and actions from the main figures in your area. Together with your team, you can assess where and when investments are necessary.
- Leadership and talent management: You enjoy working with people and have an open and communicative personality. You enjoy interacting with technical experts in a matrix organisation and find it easy to motivate teams to perform at their best. You set the right goals for your organisation.
Your professional profile:
- You have a higher education in the field of engineering
- Maintenance and Engineering are your areas of interest and you have already gained professional and management experience in these areas, ideally within manufacturing or a similar environment
- Excellent safey and quality awareness
- Business fluency in English
- Demonstrable experience of increasing efficiency. Knowledge of Continuous Improvement methodologies and SAP
