Your role:
We have an exciting and rare opportunity to join us as our Corporate Tax Manager in the Global Tax Team. This role will be based in the UK, and you will primarily focus on tax accounting / forecasting and coordinate with our service providers to manage the tax compliance for European businesses. There will also be opportunities to work on Global Tax and be part of other value-added projects.
The Corporate Tax Manager is an integral member of the Tax team and will report directly to the Director of Global Income Tax Reporting & Analysis in the US, also having access to the VP of Global Tax. You will be working closely with EU Leadership team and Head of Departments to provide advice to the business and communicate with tax authorities across Europe.
This is a remote opportunity with occasional travel to site - roughly 10%. Depending on location, hybrid can also be available if preferred. What your impact will be:
- Review the annual and quarterly Global income tax provision under US GAAP and ASC740 for all non-US jurisdictions.
- Work closely with European central & local finance teams, as needed, to address any local country tax issues, book-tax differences, local tax forecasting, as well as assisting with any tax research and analysis/planning associated with these functions.
- Preparation of quarterly and annual tax updates to the EU Senior Leadership Team.
- Assist with tax controversy and audit defence across multiple jurisdictions.
- Manage the obtaining of Tax Residency Certificates for all passive income payments.
- Identify process and efficiency improvement opportunities including, but not limited to, use of technology for data collection and analysis/reporting.
- Assist with the identification and implementation of global tax planning opportunities to minimize both GAAP and cash taxes.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Minimum of 3 years of practical corporate tax accounting and compliance experience
- Broad knowledge of US GAAP ASC 740 and global corporate tax laws
- Proactive self-starter with continuous improvement mindset. Willingness to challenge current processes & procedures and develop process improvements to gain overall efficiencies
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Experience using tax research software, such as CCH or Thomson Reuters
- Bachelor's Degree
- Full or part qualified in ACA, CTA, ICAEW, ICAS qualifications, or equivalent
