Job Overview
We are currently looking for an Intern in our EHS department. This internship will provide experience working with operations, administration, customers, and vendors at our Longview, Texas manufacturing facility.
Key Job Responsibilities
• WORK SAFELY AND BE AN ADVOCATE FOR SAFETY. Drive culture of zero harm.
• Provide a Safety Resource for manufacturing.
• Assist with implementation and compliance with all Komatsu Safety Standards
• Assist with maintaining required regulatory records and documentation for; OSHA, EPA.
• Support of all safety and health programs for all employees in manufacturing.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Must be enrolled in Environmental Health Science or Occupational Health and Safety program
• MINIMUM OF 1 YEAR COMPLETED EDUCATION IN OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY OR WITH AN ASSOCIATE DEGREE IN SAFETY OR RELATED FIELD
• Self-motivated
• Adaptable to change, flexible and willing to learn
• Knowledge of OSHA compliance and regulations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills / Demonstrated ability to conduct presentations
• Ability to handle multiple projects and set priorities
