MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Management and deployment of a skilled mobile workforce (10-20 employees).
- Develop quotations on all Service for Hire jobs, insuring acceptable profit margins.
- Schedule and manage crews to create an efficient off-site work team.
- Interface with other Joy Global locations for manpower/tooling.
- Responsible for maintenance of quality standard on all jobs.
- Responsible for maintenance of safety/EHS/MSHA compliance on all jobs.
- Make sales calls and contact customers to generate new business opportunities.
- Liaison with Engineering to resolve all field engineering questions in order to evaluate each job and prepare a quotation.
PREDOMINANT TASKS
- Manage all resources to insure that appropriate labor / tooling / parts are available for successfully completing work at a customer job site.
- Work closely with Sales and Estimator to prepare quotations and assure acceptable gross margins. Must remain on budget, adhere to specifications and meet the schedule.
- Monitor work progress of all crews, travel to mine sites as necessary to assure effective completion of tasks.
- Coordinate all vehicles and tooling necessary for completion of the job.
- Prepare high level risk assessments, interfacing with EHS and MSHA compliance.
- Audit jobs and create corrective action plans to insure that margins are acceptable.
- Prepare sales forecasts for SFH work.
- Act as first contact on MSHA / OSHA citations.

- Approximately 50% mine site – 50% office
C. Percentage of Travel: 50% or more to mine site locations in KY, VA, WV, OH, IN, IL, PA
BACKGROUND
4 year degree in Mining or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering. >10 years of experience in Surface and/or Underground mining applications. Knowledge of customers. Technical understanding of equipment operation / repair processes for both Surface and Underground equipment. Ability to manage multiple crews at remote customer sites.
