Due to internal promotions, we are seeking Engineering Managers to join the team at the Port of Liverpool, and help us keep the world moving!
You will lead a team of engineers to ensure the delivery of the maintenance requirements for all assets, plant and equipment. You will ensure all activities are carried out in compliance with internal policies and procedures and external statutory requirements in relation to health, safety, environment, engineering and quality standards. You will drive continuous improvement through the department, identifying opportunities and implementing improvement plans.
You will support the development of the team by offering guidance and support, identifying training needs where required. As Engineering Manager you will manage the operational budget for your area, contributing to savings where appropriate whilst ensuring the upkeep and availability of engineering equipment to meet customer demands.
You will have extensive experience of managing teams of engineers, leading departments through periods of change and implementing new technologies. You will be a strong leader, ensuring safety and compliance are at the forefront of all activities. You will have previous budgetary management experience with good financial acumen and the ability to identify and implement cost saving initiatives.
With excellent communication skills, you will have the ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will be able to motivate teams, identifying training areas and helping team members develop their engineering skills.
You will ideally be degree educated in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and hold a full valid driving licence.
