At Peel Ports Group we are seeking a Head of Business Development to take a lead on enhancing our current success in attracting international shipping lines to the Port of Liverpool.
In this role you will be at the forefront of driving structured growth and exploring new opportunities for our Port to sustain and improve the long term profitability of our Container division. Working in collaboration with the wider commercial team, you will support the delivery of our commercial strategy across the Container terminal, seeking innovative approaches to drive further volumes to maximise return on our operational assets, through developing relationships with customers and building strong strategic partnerships.
This role offers a unique chance to shape the future of our business, using your expertise to identify and capitalise on market demands, responding positively to the challenges faced within the Global shipping market, wider industry and our economy.
You will demonstrate a proven track record of success in business development or related roles within containerised cargo, shipping and/or Ports. You will possess strong commercial acumen and a passion for driving growth, with the ability to develop strategic partnerships and create a positive customer experience. P&L responsibility/experience would be advantageous but not essential.
You will be an exceptional communicator with the ability to network and influence at all levels and across diverse cultures. You will be experienced in coaching and supporting wider teams to maximise success.
