We are seeking a Group Marine Planning Assistant to join our team at the Port of Liverpool and help us keep the world moving!
You will liaise between vessels, agents, tugs, Pilots, Port Control Operators and Business Unit Managers to administer vessel bookings for Ports within the Group using various IT platforms. You will provide industry leading customer service through the administration of vessel movement planning and bookings for all Ports across the Group.
Regularly reviewing the planning system, you will recommend improvements and support the Group Planning Manager in resolving planning conflicts and challenges, providing excellent customer service at all times. You will administer Pilotage booking services for certain Ports, ensuring relevant electronic records are maintained and updated at all times.
As part of this role you will be required to provide planning support on Saturday mornings on a rotational basis,
You will have previous experience in an administration, scheduling, online booking system, or similar role. A background within Marine would be beneficial but is not essential
With excellent written and verbal communication skills, you will be able to speak to range of internal and external stakeholders at various levels. Strong problem solving, issue prioritisation and customer service skills are key for this role.
You will have the ability to understand and apply geographic and technical information, combined with strong attention to detail.
