Are you an experienced IT Project Manager with a good understanding of networking and infrastructure? Are you excited by the opportunity to deliver a range of projects in an operational environment? We are seeking an IT Project Manager to join the team at the Port of Liverpool and help us keep the world moving!
As IT Project Manager, you will manage the lifecycle of projects from feasibility, through to creation of plans and teamwork assignments, directing and monitoring work efforts, identifying resource needs, performing quality review; and escalating functional, quality and timeline issues appropriately. You will identify and manage risk and issues within the project life cycle, keeping all stakeholders up to date at all times.
You will utilise appropriate project monitoring and reporting systems, to provide a professional, consistent and effective project management service to both internal customers and key stakeholders. Manage change control of projects to ensure business needs are balanced within the project constraints, effectively negotiating throughout the project with appropriate escalation and dispute resolution as required.
You will have a proven track record of managing IT projects, including complex infrastructure, and project management of complex IT systems, with experience managing 3rd party companies and commercial contracts during project lifecycles. You will have a strong technical background, with a good understanding of networking and infrastructure, knowledge of Cloud based technologies would be beneficial.
Holding excellent communication and organisational skills, you will be able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the business, whilst successfully managing several projects at any one time. A formal project management qualification (i.e. Prince2 or PMP) would be beneficial but is not essential.
