A bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering plus five to seven years of experience in a manufacturing facility is required. The position plans, directs and leads the execution of all activities related to maintenance projects and training in support of the company’s production and growth objectives. The position will be directly involved in the planning and oversight of the new equipment installation and relocation of operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Education and Experience:
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
Knowledge of manufacturing, mechanical principles and experience in management.
Demonstrated leadership and project management abilities.
Ability to work well with all levels of the organization.
Candidate will be required to access and utilize manufacturing software for the development of various efficiency reports.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
Previous experience with manual, NC and CNC controlled equipment.
Understanding of electrical, electronic, hydraulic and pneumatic principles.
Experienced in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Experience with CAD software.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to comprehend and apply mathematical principles to the degree required to perform the job based upon job requirements.
Language and Communication Skills:
Ability to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
