Your responsibilities
Lead the team for the development of Clean Dispatchable Power projects for Uniper in the UK. Create and develop sustainable energy supply solutions, e.g. batteries, H2-ready gas-fired power plants, heat pumps, e-boilers, etc.
Execute Uniper’s Clean Dispatchable Power strategy: Take ownership for the realization of our CAPEX targets for Germany up to Financial Investment Decision. Actively support not only other Green Power & Heat (GP&H) teams but the entire New Green Power and Gas NGPG area in general to achieving the strategic 2028 and 2030 targets.
Liaise tightly with the Site Development team and the Site Integration Managers from Energy Assets for a seamless integration of CDP projects into the overall site development and governance. Manage the collaboration with internal stakeholders for an efficient, project-driven support.
Lead or actively participate Project Committees, also beyond CDP UK, e.g. across GP&H and NGPG.
Lead or sponsor development programs, potentially across the GP&H teams, e.g. batteries, CCS or H2-ready generation.
Together with the other team leads, drive the present project activities towards a scalable, “industrialized” business development along our Target Operating Model and with a very high degree of standardization and of know-how and capability sharing. Continuously question and improve our approach.
Develop and lead a team of up to 15 Project Developers / Manager as the line manager. Provide any aspect of team leadership, and individual development to the team. Create the entrepreneurial spirit and end-to-end ownership for the projects within the team. Foster an eye-to-eye level to our stakeholders and teams.
Role-model the new Uniper Way. Engage in and drive team building across GP&H and NGPG. Drive or actively support strategic projects to bring our business to a new level.
Your profile
University degree in relevant studies, e.g. engineering, business administration, physics.
In-depth expertise and proven track record in actively developing and managing large projects, preferably related to power generation, infrastructure or heavy industry.
Certified project management skills.
Experienced in leading international teams and complex multi-company business development activities.
Excellent conceptual, analytical, and strategic thinking combined with the ability to prioritize from a holistic view.
Strong personal credibility up to successful Board presentations, excellent team-working skills, ability to build strong working relationships across the Uniper Group, strong stakeholder management skills.
Creative and open-minded colleague with fresh mindset, ability to think out of the box and excellent communication skills.
Professional command of English (another language of a Uniper core country beneficial).
