People are at the heart of our success, and we have a current opportunity for a Scrum Master to join our Business Systems team, utilising Agile & Scrum processes to drive teams and stakeholders through the delivery of IT system transformation.
Our Business Systems team deliver change across a broad portfolio of systems within Ampol, including Retail & Convenience, Corporate and Fuel Supply chain systems. The Scrum Master will be a key hire potentially working across a variety of initiatives, and assisting the adoption of Agile methodologies across the business.
This is a permanent position based in our Alexandria, Sydney HQ, with flexible, hybrid work options available.
Key duties:
- Join existing Scrum teams, and manage each project’s scope and timeline and prioritise deliverables according to the project plan
- Co-ordinate and run sprints, retrospective meetings, planning sessions and daily standups
- Coach team members in Agile frameworks and support scrum maturity uplifts
- Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration
- Work with product owners and SMEs to handle backlogs and new requests
- Manage stakeholder expectations throughout the development lifecycle
- Resolve conflicts and assist with surfacing and resolution of blockers
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards at the end of each sprint
- Work cross-functionally to prioritise teams work within the project
- Approval and planning for product releases, enhancement and timing
About you:
- Prior experience leading Scrum teams, ideally within large customer facing organisations with B2B and retail customer offerings
- Knowledge of Agile and frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, XP etc
- Strong knowledge of scrum theory, rules and practices
- Understanding of software development processes and procedures to understand the team’s needs
- Strong communication, interpersonal and coaching skills
- Self motivated and focussed
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
