Role: Production Operator Split Shift:
Early Shift 6am to 2pm / Late Shift 2pm to 10pm on a 2-week rotation
37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday.
Pay: £10.63 an hour plus shift allowance
Based at: VacSax Ltd, Langage Science Park, Plymouth Job purpose:
To produce quality components for use in the manufacture of Vacsax finished products.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
• Setup the production equipment and supplies before executing job orders.
• Operate equipment safely and effectively for production processing.
• Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good and safe working condition.
• Work under the guidance of the Supervisor to perform and complete the assigned duties in timely manner.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
• Contribute to waste management programs. • Identify and report unsafe operations to Supervisor immediately.
• Maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a clean and safe workplace.
• Responsible for ensuring company resources are used in an effective manner to ensure best operating costs.
• Be able to make appropriate decisions while following the company’s organisational structure.
• Maintaining high level of timekeeping/attendance is of the essence
