It is responsible for major brands like Müller Corner, Müllerlight, Müller Bliss, Müller Rice, FRijj and Müller Kefir Smoothie and produces chilled desserts under licence from Mondelez International. It also supplies the UK private label yogurt market from a dedicated, state of the art yogurt facility.
We are currently recruiting for a Production (Filling) Team Leader at our Minsterley site to support in the development and management of systems, processes and people to meet and exceed business targets for volume, cost, quality, environmental, Health and Safety.
In this role the key responsibilities will include:
Ensuring professional work standards are met, aligned with Company policies & procedures
Ensure plant machinery is operated in accordance to laid down procedures
Guaranteeing adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures
Ensure Shift reports full compliance to reporting systems, such as STAR, FRS, SAP, etc.
Achieving operational targets consistently through all team reports
Waste management control within budget target
Cross functional working with all departments
Influence positively the Department team achieving plan attainment on time and in full
Driving key initiatives through the Asset Care and Total Preventative Maintenance programs
Plant performance trends and take decisive corrective action where required in order to meet budget targets
Mentoring, coaching & developing team members in company behaviours & values
Resource planning and effective use of personnel within own team and peer teams
Assist in proactive management of absence and all performance issues
Management of cost in line with budget
Prompt recognition and actions regarding fault finding and correction
Proactive approach to all matters concerning Health & Safety
Regular and consistent communication with their team through 1-2-1's, PDP discussions,
Key skills & experience:
Experience of working within a high volume Food production environment
Problem Solving
Continuous improvement techniques
Knowledge of quality standards and affect of incident on quality
