Fluor and Energy Materials, an Orbia business, is looking for an EU Customs and Supply Chain Lead to be based at our Schiphol office in the Netherlands.
Main Purpose
As the EU Customs and Suply chain lead you will support in the management of transportation of Isotanks and smaller packages. As part of a service delivery team, the successful candidate will be working closely with other members of the team (UK customs team, customer services, transport engineering, tax manager, regulatory manager and S&OP) you will play an integral part within the service delivery team ensuring imports and exports raw materials, finished goods and services reach our production facility and end customers safely, on time, in full, to the right quality standards and in a cost-effective manner
You will also provide customs support for Mexichem Fluor EU BV to ensure that conditions for imports and exports are compiled to and assist the business in making optimal use of the allocated F-Gas Quota within the region, relating to the sales of industrial refrigerants. This will be achieved working alongside the UK customs team, tax manager and regulatory team.
Main Responsibilities
- Working with the UK Customs team, Regulatory Manager, UK tax manager and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that the Fluor and Energy Materials business maintains suitable relations with Dutch and European Commission regulators and Policy Makers.
- To be the first point of contact to receive questions, audit requests, and initiate occasional communications e.g., unusual customs and supply chain practices.
- Develop an appropriate understanding of the Fluor and Energy Materials business products and their uses.
- Administrate and monitoring of customs brokers POA.
- Track and Assign HS codes from company’s-maintained list and advise the business when changes are required.
- Management of Imports and Exports.
- Provide accurate and timely clearance instructions of goods for the EU.
- Provide to Fluor and Energy Materials business tax team import and movement details to allow for the accurate reporting of VAT returns for various destinations in Europe.
- Assistance and liaison during customs audits and reviews.
Qualifications
Minimum: A level equivalent. Suitable qualification in Customs/Logistics or Supply Chain.
Desirable: Relevant degree and/or Charter Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT), Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence, Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA).
Knowledge/ Experience Required

- Demonstrate influencing skills and a record of working independently.
- Experience working at national and international level would be desirable.
- Knowledge of customs processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of customs warehousing and IPR regulations.
- Experience working with Dutch customs authorities related to EU regulations would be desirable.
- Proven experience working with complex Excel spreadsheets. Experience of working with SAP.
