This role is for a project leader focusing on enabling the Sustainable Circular Economy in Longview. This project leader will develop and modify business processes related to integrating circular solutions into routine Longview and corporate processes within an accelerated time frame by leading cross-functional teams using proven project leadership methodologies (DMAIC, Business Design, Lean, Change Management, Agile, and others as needed). Initial responsibility for this project leader will be preparing Longview for the new Methanolysis facility by working with key stakeholders to identify, develop, and implement the business processes needed to start-up the facilities.
This project leader will be called upon to deliver solutions to some of Eastman’s biggest challenges. In this role, the leader is working on a highly visible growth area for Eastman – Circular Economy. Eastman is working on multiple hard-to-recycle plastic recycling facilities in Kingsport, Longview, and across the globe. The assignment is an opportunity to gain exposure to complex problems with high management visibility, broaden your knowledge and understanding of company cross-functional processes, and gain experience in leading diverse groups to deliver results on complex projects. The candidate will receive project leadership training as needed to be able to deliver results. They will also receive consultation from several Master Black Belts throughout the job assignment and will also work with an assigned project champion for each project.
The ideal candidate will have strong project leadership skills as well as a desire to be an integral part of Eastman’s transformation into a leader in the Circular Economy on a global scale.
