Utilities Division has an opening for an Equipment Operator in their Transportation Services Department.
Job Description:
Provides transportation of materials within and outside the plant site by operating tractor trailers, dumpster trucks, and G.R.D. dumpster trucks. Utilizes the computer dispatch system when relieving dispatchers.
Qualifications:
- Must be willing to work 12-hour shifts (rotating days / nights)
- Must have current Class A CDL (Hazard Materials Certification preferred)
- Must be able to obtain an Eastman DOT Medical Examiner Certification.
- Must be familiar with basic computer functions such as email & data entry using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, & Word
- Must be able to perform all safety procedures and wear appropriate company provided personal protective equipment as needed/required
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
- Must have a strong work ethic, demonstrating both initiative & professional attitude.
- Must be able to perform the essential elements of the positions with or without reasonable accommodations.
Additional Qualifications:
- Should a candidate wish to be considered for the OAP (Operator Apprentice Program) or the MAP (Maintenance Apprentice Program) after hire, they must achieve Eastman’s required score levels on the WorkKeys assessments prior to consideration.

- Reading for Information / Workplace Documents - Level 6
- Locating Information / Graphic Literacy - Level 5
- Applied Mathematics - Level 6

- High school diploma or GED is required.
