Senior Project Manager at Sonova Group

Overview

 

The Senior Project Manager has demonstrated success in managing high level complex medical device projects. Along with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to lead highly diverse cross functional teams, must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. The Senior Project manager is responsible for leading product development efforts from inception through all development stages to post launch support. These tasks include marketing requirements, feasibility, R&D development, manufacturing transfer, product launch readiness, and post launch support.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Applies established knowledge of audiological and clinical practice to develop clinical evaluations of new external hardware, software and mobile applications
  • Conducts the human subject testing, analysis, documentation, presentation of results for the clinical evaluations and usability studies.
  • Engages and collaborates with development and regulatory teams to understand the requirements of prospective clinical evaluations. Establishes compliant guidelines for internal clinical studies.
  • Serves as a clinical lead on the project teams, translating input from other technical teams and senior leadership into action items, experiment plans and specifications for the Clinical Product Research team.
  • Collaborates with Marketing and Educational groups in the development of material supporting new product release. Provides knowledge transfer and training to internal staff members on new product use and clinical experience.
  • Ensures compliance of all activities within necessary Class-III regulatory framework
  • Occasional travel (5-10%) to national conferences, cochlear implant centers, and Advanced Bionics corporate events.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Travelling Requirement: up to 5%

 

 

 

What you bring to the team:

 

 

Education

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering: Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial/Software or related technical discipline.

Nice to Have

  • Background with medical devices is a plus

 

 

Work Experience

  • 5 -10 years job related experience as a Project Manager

Nice to Have

  • Engineering background is a plus

 

 

 

Personal Competencies

  • Must have strong program management skills
  • Must be proficient with MS Project or other program management tools
  • Prefer knowledge in product development methodologies
  • Must possess critical thinking skills

 

Social Competencies

  • Must be strong in people management and team building
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; must be articulate

 

 

Leadership Competencies

  • Must have excellent critical thinking skills and demonstrable examples of adding leadership value to large project initiatives.

 

 

Professional Competencies

  • Ability to integrate with R&D, Marketing, product Engineering, Materials management and production
  • Management of product development from project inception to commercial release
  • Able to communicate clearly with team members and senior management
  • Application of product development process with new development and released products
  • Knowledge and application of Microsoft Project based on scope and objectives.

 

 

Language(s)/ Level

  • English/ Proficient  

 

 

IT Skills

  • Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Access
  • Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling tool

Pay Ranges: $120,000/yr - $180,000/yr
