About the Role:
Boots Hearingcare are seeking dedicated individuals to join the team as Student Hearing Aid Dispensers. This role offers a unique opportunity to embark on a 12 month, fully funded intensive training programme, while gaining valuable clinic experience within our stores.
Our in-house training team offer ongoing support throughout the duration of the course, ensuring that you develop the skills and confidence needed to provide exceptional care to our customers. From conducting assessments to fitting hearing aids, you'll play a vital role in improving the lives of those with hearing loss.
The training will include both online remote modules as well as face-to-face sessions in our Training Academy in Llandudno, North Wales. Upon completion of the course, you will continue your learning journey as an Early Professional in our two-year preceptorship programme while working as a Hearing Aid Dispenser.
During the programme, students will be required to:
- Attend online and face-to-face training at our Training Academy in Llandudno.
- Complete assignments and revision for exams, adhering to course deadlines.
- Collaborate with qualified Hearing Aid Audiologists for supervised clinical work.
- Conduct hearing health checks and refer customers for full hearing assessments.
- Provide exemplary customer service, conducting thorough assessments, fittings, and aftercare services.
Requirements:
- GCSE C/4, Functional Skills Level 2, or Scottish Nationals (N5) in Maths and English, ideally with a science background.
- Proficient IT skills.
- Full, clean driving license, willing to travel for training sessions and clinic coverage.
- Ability to work 37.5 hours per week, including some weekends.
- Flexibility and willingness to work within the required geographical area, including potential relocation if necessary.
