A look into the role

Henderson Food Service is the leading supplier to the food service industry in Ireland. We source and supply a range of thousands of products to customers including hotels, restaurants, and public sector organisations such as hospitals and offices.

The purpose of the role:
This position will assist the E-commerce Lead in advancing our objective of improving sales and online B2B customer interaction via our ecommerce site. 

 

You'll have hands-on experience with leading e-commerce, marketing, and product data tools like Adobe Commerce, Shopify, DotDigital, Klayvio, and Akeneo PIM in both B2B and B2C settings. Your efforts will drive online customer acquisition, increase sales, expand product and brand visibility, and enhance our relationships with suppliers.

 

Working as Ecommerce Executive you will:

  • Collaborate closely with the E-commerce Lead to ensure the Henderson Foodservices website and associated digital channels effectively drive customer acquisition, retention, and spending.

  • Drive increased basket sizes to fulfil the "sell more, to more" objective of our E-commerce Strategy.

  • Plan and create targeted online content tailored to customer segments, optimized to boost both onsite sales and SEO.

  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of customer UX through data-driven insights, influencing and improving onsite behaviour.

  • Monitor the effectiveness and return on investment of online campaigns.

  • Undertake any other duties as required, including providing support to B2C-focused team members working on the Barista Bar brand when necessary.

  • Lead and support the trading team in establishing advertising objectives with Henderson Foodservice suppliers, offering guidance on the most effective content delivery based on those goals. 


Skills for Success
 
Joining us as Ecommerce Executive the minimum criteria you’ll need is:

  • Be educated to GCSE level as a minimum (or equivalent)

  • Strong evidence of proven professional experience working on Business to Business (B2B) or Business to Consumer (B2C) e-commerce website.

  • Experience of scoping, briefing, and activating online content

  • Experience of delivering marketing campaigns online, including onsite and push channels (email, social etc)


The Attributes you’ll need include:

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Process driven.

  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical people

 

It is Desirable if you have:

  • Third level qualification OR a relevant professional certification for the post (e.g. marketing, sales)

  • Comfortable with using insight and data to inform their work.

  • Sound technical understanding of e-commerce systems and processes

  • Knowledge of Foodservice industry

  • Experience in activating B2B advertising content.

  • Experience measuring and reporting the success of marketing and/or advertising campaigns.

  • Experience of using content to drive SEO.

  • Experience of segmenting customer groups to deliver targeted campaigns and content based on data and insights.

This is a full-time position working 36.5 hours per week. Working hours will be 8:45am-4:45pm Monday to Thursday and 8:45am-3:45pm Friday. Hybrid and flexible working arrangement available.
