As a Senior Model Maker, you’ll play a crucial role in transforming engineering concepts into tangible prototypes and models. Your expertise will bridge the gap between design and production, ensuring that high-quality parts and assemblies are created for various purposes, including UL testing, installation training, sales demos, and failure mode analysis. This role is responsible for product development from concept through production, which includes new product, sustaining and resolution of field problems. Leads mechanical product design and/or redesign, part assembly and detailed part drawings. Leads prototyping, testing, and assembly of samples. Leads various product design/development projects and teams. Collaborates with and influence all cross functional members of the design team. Presents and communicates project status updates to management. Participates in daily management meetings with the cross-functional team. Mentors and develops other engineers. In everything the Lead Design Engineer does, both in projects and daily tasks, LEAN Process methodology is applied to drive impact, streamline, and improve processes.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Additional technical certifications or vocational training in relevant fields (e.g., machining, welding) are advantageous.
Experience: Typically requires 3-5 years of related experience. Familiarity with model making machinery repair is a plus.
