Corporate Financial, Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is seeking an Senior manager for Forecasting, Management Reporting. As the Senior Manager you will be responsible for delivering value and driving excellence in the following areas:
- Global Forecasting and Corporate Management Reporting;
- Corporate Financial Analysis; and
This role provides guidance to a team of managers and analysts, supports the above processes, supports the global budget process and provides insightful analysis on market and industry trends, peer performance, and key metrics to the FP&A leadership and key stakeholders. Your expertise will play a vital role in driving the 18-month rolling forecast process, preparing monthly management reporting deliverables, cash flow maximization and financial performance analysis. The role provides an opportunity to work with multiple functions across the organization and be a strategic business partner to Finance & Strategy, Strategic, Planning & Transactions (SP&T), Investor Relations, Accounting, Tax and Treasury. Leading and mentoring a high performing team whereby he/she visibly leads and actively fosters a culture of inclusiveness and diversity. This role reports to the Director, Corporate FP&A, Management Reporting.
A Day In The Life:
Business Interface
- Partner directly with LYB leaders on Forecasting and Corporate Management Reporting.
- Accountable for ensuring quality deliverables and delivering key insights to leadership.
- Partner with the businesses to collectively drive forecast accuracy, transparency and related linkages to enable better business decisions and to support effective external guidance.
- Partner with SP&T, Treasury and other key stakeholders on strategic projects and ad hoc requests.
Operational Excellence
- Design, develop and lead the Company’s forecasting, planning and corporate management reporting processes.
- Collaborate with Senior Manager, Budget and Fixed Cost Reporting and Senior Manager LRP, Corporate Governance and OneStream Strategy with regards to annual process.
- Drive standardization and automation on Corporate reporting and analysis and define consistently applied methodologies/definitions for reporting and variance analysis.
- Develop comprehensive financial models to support corporate strategy development.
- Lead Corporate financial analysis and special projects.
People and Leadership
- Lead and mentor team of 2 to 3 direct reports and indirect reports.
- Coach and develop team in achieving excellence in FP&A competencies, ensuring team members are continually challenged and developed in order to progress to the next level and/or role.
- Contribute to a wider community through organizational initiatives and deliver inter-team improvement initiatives.
You Bring This Value:
- Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related business degree with ideally 12+ years’ relevant FP&A, corporate finance, business services, accounting, or other analytical experience required with strong evidence of leading an finance department preferred.
- CFA/CPA/MBA preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Onestream is desirable.
- Expertise in statistical forecasting and financial modeling is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership ability with proficiency in mentoring, team development and project planning.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills required.
- Expertise in the chemical industry or manufacturing environment is preferred. FP&A experience with strong analytical skills is desired.
- Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Attention to detail to ensure management reporting and forecasting deliverables are timely, accurate and complete.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills.
- Ability to drive and influence change in a functionally driven, diverse, multi-cultural environment.
- Ability to set and manage priorities, multitask, and meet deadlines.
- Passion for driving continuous improvement.
