HMP Dovegate is a category B male establishment prison based on the Staffordshire/Derbyshire border near Uttoxeter. The operational capacity for the prison is 1100 prisoners who are serving a range of sentences including; trial, remand, those awaiting sentence and convicted men serving up to life in prison. Joining our onsite team at this category B prison, you’ll play a key role in delivering Psychological Services to residents. Here at Serco we have a vacancy for a Forensic Psychologist to join our Therapeutic Community Team.
We’re recruiting for a Psychological Services Administrator to join us at HMP Dovegate, working as part of the innovative Psychological Services team. The key purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to the Offending Behaviour Programmes and the wider Psychological Services Team.
Some of the responsibilities of this role are listed below:
- Logging and responding to applications / referrals for Offending Behaviour Programmes
- Preparing files for audit and completing relevant audits
- Preparing group materials for facilitators ready for group delivery
- To ensure that daily filing, archiving of records and control of prisoner information is carried out efficiently and correctly.
- Taking and distributing minutes from relevant meetings including prisoners Post Programme Reviews
- Assisting with Treatment Managers and Programmes Manager’s administrative tasks, including, but not limited to: prisoner needs analysis and maintaining programme waiting lists.
- To provide administrative support to the wider Psychological Services department, this includes, but not limited to: the management and processing of psychology files in line with data protection and ethical requirements.
- Arrange dates, venues and special needs arrangements for the Post Programme Reviews (PPR’s) showing flexibility and willingness to negotiate in order to maximise attendance at the review
- Ensure copies of the post programme report and review minutes are distributed to the prisoner and all relevant staff members, ensuring that these are filed appropriately.
- Management of psychology file databases and other databases
What you need to do this job:
They must have demonstrated flexibility and the ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
Th successful post holder must have the ability to work as a team member, forming excellent relationships.
