Serco Defence are currently recruiting for a Aircraft Propulsion Mechanical Supervisor to join the existing team at RAF Odiham, working in support of the The Chinook Engine Support Arrangement (CESA) contract which ensures provision of serviceable T55 engines and accessories to the RAF Chinook platform at both RAF Odiham and RAF Benson.
Main accountabilities:
Engine Inspection, strip/repair and build
Testing engines
Oversee and supervise other people withthin the team
Attending courses for further training on specific techniques relevant and necessary to their job as detailed by their Section Supervisor
Acting as permanent loan holder in accordance with current regulations if required
First Aider/appointed person
Out of hours support when needed
What you'll need to do the job:
Engine maintenance within an operational environment
Ability to work competently in a changeable environment
Ideally T55 or similar engine experience (not essential)
