To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we are looking to recruit for a Contract Manager to join our Leisure team.
The Contract Manager position is the most senior position on the leisure contract and in this role, you will be accountable for the operational and commercial management of the contract, including maintaining the key relationship between the client, and other key stakeholders both internally and externally.
You will deliver the contractual outputs (financial, operational, safety, and social) of the contract and lead a team to deliver the commercial / business plan deliverables of the leisure contract.
You will be responsible for the Deputy Contract Manager, Contract Aquatics Manager, Contract Sales Manager, Contract Health and Wellbeing Manager and Contract Administrator. The role also then has an indirect management of the whole team, and key roles in this are the site leaderships teams on the leisure contracts.
About You
To be considered for this role you will have experience in staff management and leadership of a large team, in a leisure or hospitality environment, have commercial awareness in the leisure sector, as well as an understanding of the leisure landscape and the movement of the Sport England strategy towards a health solution through physical activity. This experience should have a knowledge of the external funding landscape to understand the opportunities for the leisure contract to maximise the external support to increase the health of the population.
You will be able to plan effectively, have good analytical and financial skills, as well as operational skills and an understanding of the leisure operational landscape. Good communication, networking, and customer care skills, with the ability to take a strategic approach to business and hold a relevant business management qualification or experience.
Lastly, you must hold a full UK Driving Licence and be able and willing to travel between sites. The role is based 5 days a week on contract, and time is self-managed through the facilities in the contract.
The role has an expectation to travel to company meetings and conferences at other venues, sometimes with a requirement for overnight stays.
