Course Administration Management Specialist Coordinator
UK Defence Academy, Swindon, SN6 8LA
Full time, Permanent (37 hours a week)
Salary of £24,983.00 per annum plus benefits 

 

Serco is contracted to provide Total Facilities Management to the Defence Academy of the UK (DA). This prestigious establishment is responsible for post-graduate education and most of the command, staff, leadership, Defence management, acquisition, and technology training for members of the UK Armed Forces and MOD Civil Servants. Serco supports the DA as the MOD's primary link with UK universities and international military educational institutions. 
 
Serco have an exciting new role as a Course Administration Management Specialist Coordinator.  You will be helping to support the overarching transformation project and may be required to provide additional staff resource for gapped posts.  Location of work can therefore, be within a team whilst covering, within one of the hubs, or with colleagues providing support during transition to a hub.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide administrative support for key Divisional and Office activities across the department where posts are gapped with the direction of the Team Leader/Specialist Coord/Lead Administrators within that area.
  • Arrange and attend customer and Key Stakeholder meetings as required
  • Meet with the departments and liaise with the customer, colleagues and management
  • Maintain a strategic view of overall transformation requirements exercising vision for future planning and advising Line Management accordingly.
  • Document processes and procedures as agreed
  • Maintain timelines and overall project goals
  • Build knowledge on data systems prevalent to the transformation programme and department workflow management – inclusive of but not limited to CERMS, USAS, MS Teams, Course Tracker & TopDesk.
  • Encourage a consistent approach across teams enabling best practice.
  • Generate Metric Data/Statistics/MI as and when required

The Defence Academy sits within a beautiful and secure site which hosts 2 lakes and is surrounded by acres of scenic woodland.
