Introducing an incredible opportunity to deliver high-quality Information, Advice, and Guidance to all learners from their arrival in prison and throughout their learner journey.
You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining new and existing links with internal and external agencies providing education, training, and employment opportunities.
You'll also support the education department in the delivery and execution of key objectives.
You'll maintain accurate records of one-to-one interviews and interventions, refer learners to appropriate providers for employment, education, and training during custody and on release. You will also collect and update information on local opportunities, job-seeking skills, and related issues available through external providers to meet the needs of the population.
You'll develop relationships with education, training, and employment to ensure learner needs are met, and work closely with the SEN Tutor to ensure that higher needs learners are accommodated for at all times.
In addition to the above, you'll develop and provide offenders access to information, advice, and guidance services that are appropriate to their individual situation.
What you will need
To qualify for this exceptional opportunity, you'll need GCSE (Grade C or above) Maths and English, an educational background, and the ability to support a learner and produce an action plan, listen and offer educational pathway advice.
The ideal candidate will be an expert in advising individuals on employment, training, and educational opportunities and help them make well-informed and realistic decisions about their future.
