Could you be our next Security Escort working at Porton Down?
You will be responsible for escorting and chaperoning any contractors and visitors to Porton Down, playing a critical role in ensuring their compliance with VIVO and DSTL Security rules and regulations, whilst enabling them to undertake maintenance works and provision across the site.
Working alongside the Security Liaison Manager you will ensure the duty of care of contractor PPE and visitors whilst assisting with light administration duties.
This role will see you ensuring contractors and visitors are always chaperoned and are complying with security regulations, including use of electronic equipment (e.g. phones) including during lunch breaks.
Key responsibilities include;
• Ensure contractors and visitors are in your presence at all times
• Ensure contactors and visitors comply with security regulations
• Duty of care with contractor PPE and reporting
• Assisting with light administration duties
What you’ll need to do this role
A full UK driving license is essential as there will be a need to drive a company vehicle.
You will be able to demonstrate your knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages.
It is desirable that you have experience of operating within an MOD environment.
The ability to work flexible hours for business requirements and to cover holiday and absence.
Due to site restrictions, you must be a British National and be able to pass SC Clearance to be considered for this role.
