VIVO have an exciting opportunity for a Contract Manager to join our United States Visiting Forces contract.
Reporting to the Regional Director, you will be responsible for leading a team of Built Estate Managers across 4 sites, organising and motivating direct reports and ensuring that their objectives and performance jointly deliver the requirements of operations to the contract, whilst creating an environment in which teams and individuals can perform at their best, improve performance and realise their full potential.
In this role you will confer with the client, Defence Infrastructure (DIO), to agree scope and priorities of work, agree outline plans and review management & tasks on a regular basis, ensure appropriate work plans and budgets are in place to achieve programmes and financial commitments, whilst meeting the changing operational need, ensure that all maintenance and response works are completed to the required technical standards and that all documentation is completed and distributed in a timely manner and recorded against the appropriate assets in the CAFM system.
You will also oversee the ongoing completion of Quality Assurance, Health & Safety and Sustainability processes, contribute to the delivery of effective business plans and the prompt resolution of key commercial or client issues, and take responsibility for the performance and financial outcomes for minor works, planned and response maintenance within the area.
This role is a hybrid position, with an expectation that you would spend 3 days per week across RAF Croughton, RAF Alconbury and RAF Fairford, and at least one day a month at RAF Menwith Hill. For this reason, candidates should be located between RAF Alconbury and RAF Croughton to allow for a reasonable commute to site.
What You Need To Do The Role
First and foremost, you should be an experienced Contract Manager or senior manager from a hard services technical engineering environment.
It is vital that you have very strong client relationship management skills and have experience with successful culture change.
It would be advantageous if you hold NEBOSH, HND level qualification in a Building/Civil Engineering or Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering related discipline or equivalent experience and a Leadership qualification.
To be successful in this role, you will need experience of management of operational delivery of facilities maintenance/ construction contract, leading operational team to achieve KPIs, proactive management of supply chain performance management and a sound understanding of budget management.
In addition to this, you will need experience of leading complex, multi-site operations, extensive understanding of risk management, the ability to effectively manage performance and have experience of leading on continuous improvement.
