Serco is contracted to provide Total Facilities Management to the Defence Academy of the UK (DA). This prestigious establishment is responsible for post-graduate education and most of the command, staff, leadership, Defence management, acquisition, and technology training for members of the UK Armed Forces and MOD Civil Servants. Serco supports the DA as the MOD's primary link with UK universities and international military educational institutions.
Serco have an exciting new role as a Housing Officer to ensure the efficient supervision of all aspects of administration relating to the allocation and maintenance of the JSCSC Service Families Accommodation. You will carry out all administration and documentation within this area.
Key Accountabilities:
Carry out all aspects of administration and documentation required for the Estate.
Carry our pre-move out and pre-move in advisory checks of properties.
Conduct Move In/Out procedures for all properties.
Liaise and advise occupants regarding housing matters and ensure that maintenance work in SFA houses and in and around the estate grounds is properly coordinated.
Liaison and co-ordination of processes with Housing in Aldershot and HASC (Housing Allocation Service Centre) in Pinnacle.
During the march in/march out process, or whilst carrying out inspections of void properties, list any repairs that are required and raise work orders with the Estates Dept.
Ensure SFA properties are up to move-in standard; pre-move in survey and raise all maintenance tasks.
Process re-charge payments.
Coordinate cleaning contractors for all properties
Coordinate garden maintenance contractors for all properties
There may be a requirement for you to work overtime during the months of July, August, and September, as required.
Provide coaching and mentoring to seconded/new staff, where required the correct change of tenancy process at march in and march out is taking place.
What you’ll need to do the role:
Previous experience in Housing, letting or management of multiple properties.
Good level of general education, with GCSE’s (A-C) or equivalent in English and Mathematics.
High level of customer service.
Computer literate in Microsoft 365 applications.
Ability to work unsupervised.
