Location: Swallows Leisure Centre
Working Hours/Pattern: Perm, 9 hours per week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday 3pm to 6pm
Salary: £10.42 per hour (£11.44 from April) + Personal Training rates + Excellent Benefits
Here at Swale Leisure Community Trust our goal is to get more people, more active, more often. We provide affordable access to a wide range of sports and leisure facilities to support healthier and happier people across all segments of the local community. To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we are looking to recruit for a Health and Fitness Coach to join the centre.
The purpose of the role will be to inspire our members to achieve their goals, deliver Group Fitness, Small Group Training sessions and have the opportunity to deliver Personal Training sessions. You will coach members on effective outlined Health & Fitness programmes appropriate to their needs and advise on the safe use of our exercise equipment. At all times you will help create a community orientated environment building clubs within clubs and always deliver excellent customer service.
The role will involve a high level of customer interaction and there will be times when you will be required to assist other members of staff.
You will help in facilitating a safe, fun, and professional working environment with excellent development opportunities and free membership plus other various discounts.
Serco manages these facilities on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Trust.
About you
The successful candidate will be a passionate and enthusiastic individual who like the members of staff, pride and strive to give the best service possible for those who visit the centre and go the extra mile for customers when required.
You will also have a good standard of personal presentation, communication, and customer service skills.
It is essential that you have a level 2 Fitness instruction for you to be considered for this role and be actively working towards advanced instructor qualification (level 3)
Although not essential, having either a working background or interest in the leisure industry would be beneficial in your application.
