Serco are recruiting for a Technical Delivery Manager to join the team based at TCS Oakhanger located in Bordon. The Technical Delivery Manager has responsibility for the day-to-day Technical Delivery activities ensuring the customer and site stakeholders are kept informed and supported where necessary.
As a member of the TCS Senior Management Team, the Technical Delivery Manager will provide the focal point and figure head for all matters within the area of responsibility within the TCS contract, including financial ownership, stakeholder management and growth activities to support TCS/Space and Security. This will include the management of all risk, compliance and governance or management of contractual obligations. This role will be responsible for reporting all site second line management of Technical Delivery Department activities into the TCS Contract Manager, with specific management responsibility for IT & Comms, Maintenance, Training and the Day Technician activities and service delivery to ensure the Remote Tracking Station’s mission goal of flawless uninterrupted satellite support is achieved.
Main Accountabilities:
Responsible and accountable for the Comms & IT team, Day Technicians, Training Supervisor and Maintenance.
Responsible and accountable for site risk, compliance and governance
Support the TCS Contract Manager in their day-to-day activities, deputise in their and or other leadership or management positions within the business
Ensure all staff comply with the Serco Management Systems, UK & Europe and TCS Policies/ Procedures.
Maintaining relationships and communications with the customer and government stakeholders, at senior level as required.
Drive and ensure delivery of business objectives and business activities
To ensure that the employees’ lifecycle is managed effectively throughout all stages of their employment including engagement, recruitment and selection, induction, performance management and recognition.
What you’ll need to do the role:
Driving License- this is essential as driving is a requirement for the role
Strong management and Leadership skills with a proven record of accomplishment
Excellent MS Office Package skills
Experience in working in a customer facing environment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
knowledge and understanding of departments you will be responsible for
Able to lead and manage projects and report on them at senior level
ONC/HNC or suitable equivalent level of experience/qualification
Proven management track record and qualifications in CMI or similar.
