Monday – Friday (08:00am – 16:00pm)
Salary – £22,816.00 - £24,336.00 depending on experience plus Serco benefits
Here at Serco we’re looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our Estates team based at James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough. You will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance to the estates systems on the site and undertaking minor improvement and minor capital works as directed by Estates management.
Main Accountabilities
You will work as part of a multi-skilled team providing an efficient estates service ensuring that requests and breakdowns are dealt with effectively. You will be responsible for responding to all drainage issues on site, various building and/or grounds maintenance tasks, unskilled routine works (including labouring as needed) and perform quarterly and annual maintenance routines to drains. Other responsibilities and duties of a comparable level will be delegated as required.
What you’ll need to do the role:
To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate understanding of drainage repairs and removal of drainage blocks, general building maintenance duties and have previous experience of working in a similar service environment. You will also be able to demonstrate competence of one or more of the following additional skills: -
