Procurement Operations Analyst

Hook, Hampshire (hybrid role)

Full Time, Permanent (37.5 hours per week)

£37,000 - £42,000 per annum plus benefits

We’re currently recruiting for a Procurement Operations Analyst to join our Procurement Operations Team within the Serco UK&E Procurement Team. As our Analyst, you will provide analytical and management capacity to support effective delivery of the procurement operations services, particularly, procurement performance management and UK government reporting, procurement data management, and the provision of analytical project support to Category Teams.

Main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Operationally accountable to produce the Procurement Scorecard, ensuring monthly assurance of data and applying analytical insight to performance metrics to identify performance improvement opportunities/requirements across the team.
  • Oversees production of month end performance data/reports in collaboration with SBS Analytics, including producing of SPR management reporting.
  • Coordinates the production of core UK Procurement government reporting (Modern Slavery, ONS, Strategic Supplier, etc…).
  • Act as Data Steward for Procurement data, executing tasks to improve data accuracy, supporting data governance and actioning corrections to master data.
  • Act as a SMART super user, providing training and advice to the wide UK&E Procurement team and identifying improvements to drive best use of system.
  • Coordinates the monthly spend refresh, including Business Partner review of Serco’s Contract Master Data file and provision of corrections into GEP.
  • Provides training to the wider UK&E Procurement team on the use of core Procurement reports.
  • Provides analytical support to sourcing and CI projects where required.
  • Supports the team in managing the supplier contract expiry and renewals, providing visibility, and tracking of exposure to mitigate risk.

 

What you’ll need to do the role:

  • Ideally you will hold a degree qualification in a relevant subject, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical skills, experience of working with volumes of data and good skills with MS Excel or other data tools.
  • Enthusiastic and a quick learner with an aspiration to build a career in Procurement.
  • A self-starter able to identify and deliver improvements and enhanced value.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and independently as required.
  • Organised with the ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage workload effectively and efficiently.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skill with ability to present findings accurately and coherently.
  • Good desktop computing skills and experience including MS Office applications with ability to learn Serco applications such as SMART, and Power BI.
