Salary £21,000.00 plus benefits
Serco Defence deliver a range of services and products to our customers and the MOD, which include the maintenance and training on T92 Radar systems. Within this team, we are currently recruiting for a Trainee T92 Radars Engineer to join our team who will maintain the T92 Radar ensuring KPI targets, quality compliance, safety, continuous improvement, and other contractual obligations are met at site.
The Trainee T92 Radars Engineer will go through training and will gain knowledge and experience in the following areas:
- Deliver 1st line preventative maintenance.
- Delivery 1st and 2nd line corrective maintenance.
- Provide out of hours call out to support radar availability as and when required.
- Maintain and review radar technical manuals.
- Maintain and manage all tools and test equipment required to support T92 system.
- Support the Site Technical Manager to maximise the overall system availability.
- Provide a site engineering support to Lockheed Martin when required.
What you’ll need to do the role:
- Hold 5 GCSE’s grade 4 or above, particularly Maths and Science.
- Willingness to learn
- Understand safety principles
- Good timekeeping
- Good work ethic
- Must be able to achieve SC Security Clearance prior to appointment, Serco will arrange this on your behalf.
