Location: Shrewsbury Sports Village
Working Hours: Full-Time, 3 week rota to include earlies, lates and 1 weekend in 3 to cover operational hours
Salary: £23,074.32
Here at Shropshire Community Leisure trust and our partner Serco Leisure Operating Ltd our goal is to get more people, more active, more often. We provide affordable access to a wide range of sports and leisure facilities to support healthier and happier people across all segments of the local community. To deliver those services takes an enthusiastic and customer focused team - and right now we are looking to recruit for a Duty Officer/Manager to join the centre.
As the Duty Manager, the purpose of your role will be to lead, manage and be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the facilities in and around the leisure centre site, working within a demanding commercial environment, ensuring all activities are delivered to a high standard with safety the first priority.
You will support, manage, and develop our operational team across the site, build and maintain positive relationships with onsite partners, guests, and neighbours in making sure that our customers receive a positive memorable experience.

Serco manages these facilities on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Trust.
What you’ll need to do the role
The successful candidate will be a passionate and enthusiastic individual who like the members of our team have pride and strive to give the best service possible for those who visit the centre and go the extra mile for customers when needed.
To be considered for this role we are looking to hear from candidates who have prior experience and confidence of working face to face with customers, preferably in the Leisure industry and ideally operational management experience.
