Here at Serco, we have some exciting opportunities for Security & Traffic Operatives to join RAF Brize Norton based in Carterton. If you are interested in supporting our security team and making a difference, we would love to hear from you. Brize Norton is the largest RAF station with approximately 5,800 Service Personnel, 300 civilian staff and 1,200 contractors.
In this role you will be working with the security and reception staff to:
- Control the access of vehicle traffic, military personnel, visitors, contractors, and unit employees at the RAF Brize Norton main gate.
- Control the flow of traffic/pedestrians coming onto site, checking ID cards and vehicle permits to ensure only permitted individuals gain access to the unit.
- Assist in the search of vehicles, visitors and baggage when delegated
- Provide a welcoming service to visitors, contractors or deliveries and checking relevant ID to issue the appropriate temporary pass to visitors.
What you'll need to do the role:
- A positive attitude to keeping people safe and secure.
- An interest in working in security and traffic management.
- A current, clean driving licence- essential.
- Applicants must reside within a reasonable commuting distance to OX18 3LX (max 1.5 Hours).
- Must be able to obtain Security Clearance (completed by site).
- Applicants with a current front-line SIA licence is highly desirable for this role but not essential.
