We are recruiting for an experienced Catering Manager to join us at Derwentside Immigration Removal Centre female only accommodation, where we are responsible for all aspects of detainee safety, security and welfare provision, facilities management and catering.
You must have experience working in a commercial catering department within a similar environment with experience of planning menus. You will manage the busy catering department for our residents and staff, therefore it is imperative you have significant experience including ordering and deliveries, budgeting, auditing and staff management.

What you will need to do the role
Firstly, you must hold City and Guilds 706/12 or equivalent NVQ or relevant catering management qualification and a clear advantage will be Leadership and Management qualifications.
You must have relevant Food Safety & HACCP knowledge for large scale operations and also involvement in formal inspections process.
As with any role at this level, you will have excellent IT, written and communication skills and be very well organised.
In addition, your ability to use a range of management and leadership styles to support and motivate others will be evident and clear to succeed to in this role.
