Job DescriptionCompany description:Water Utility Company based in Yorkshire region of England.Job title: Living with Water Technical LeadWe have an exciting opportunity for a Living with Water Technical Lead to join the Strategy & Regulation team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers.Location: Buttershaw / Hybrid Working (1-2 days office a week Bradford)Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.What we do:Everyone has an idea of what a water company does. Here in Yorkshire, we ensure that over 5.4 million people living in the region have clean and safe drinking water and that their wastewater is taken away. We look after communities, protect the environment, and plan to manage Yorkshire's water sustainably.Where you fit in:As our Living with Water Technical Lead, you will:Champion the nature-first approach for Living with Water investment by providing technical input and guidance.Ensure a close working... relationship between multi-disciplinary teams to generate solutions that deliver the best possible outcomes for customers and the environment.Oversee our innovative approach to monitoring and testing with the University of Hull.Lead with passion and determination to push the boundaries of traditional flood risk engineering.Ensure the appropriate partnership governance is in place for the development, delivery, adoption, and maintenance of new assets.Create a network of sharing and learning to continually improve our approach to sustainable drainage.Utilise your understanding of hydraulic design and modelling to quantify the benefits of the solutions delivered.Ensure robust financial management and commercial awareness in all Living with Water technical investments.What skills & qualifications you will need:Qualified Civil Engineer to Degree LevelSound experience of sustainable drainage systems (SuDS)Understanding of works permits, PoWRA, RAMsProven analytical, problem-solving, and process management skillsStrong leadership skills to lead both direct and matrix teamsAble to develop and leverage value from an extensive internal and external networkExperience in compiling and communicating technical informationAbility to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiencesExcellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skillsWe support flexible working patterns and job share options to help you balance work and home life.If you have the relevant skills and experience for the Living with Water Technical Lead and want to help us deliver great service while looking after the environment, apply today!If successful, you will undergo pre-employment checks, including a Basic Disclosure Check.
