To ensure the effective delivery of Shipping, Receiving & Yard / Warehousing activities within the Plant and Logistics Department and to carry out identified job tasks in a safe, diligent and efficient manner.
Main Responsibilities
- To load/unload company van.
- To safely deliver/collect material/equipment as necessary, ensuring all paperwork is completed and returned for processing after every trip.
- To provide general labourer support to the stores and yard teams, to include: keeping the main yards clean and clear; helping load/unload containers.
- In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the position holder is required to perform other duties assigned by the Operations Supervisor.
- To be conversant with all aspects of safe loading, securing, driving vehicle, dangerous goods transportation.
- To safely load and unload van using forklift and/or other lifting aids as necessary.
- Ensure company vehicle is serviced regularly in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines
- Conduct daily and weekly checks on vehicle, including water, oil and tyres.
- Ensure company vehicle is kept clean and tidy at all times
