The Role
To provide accurate and reliable applications for payment and reports to support Commercial Managers BPT UK projects to ensure costs and substantiation are appropriately recovered through application for payment process.
Key Responsibilities
Collate, present and analyse relevant data and information to prepare accurate and timely application for payment on projects to ensure costs and appropriate substantiation are provided accurately and liabilities are identified and reported to the line manager.
Collate, prepare and deliver application for payments and support line management with forecasting and budget data to ensure cost management and identify potential changes.
Support finance with maintaining cost provisions/accruals information, including POs, ensuring project costs are detailed and controlled.
Support to ensure accurate cashflow and collection reporting takes place.
Prepare and deliver valuations and invoicing for interim payments across the projects in line with contractual arrangements to ensure cashflow.
Support in the management of cost control accounts.
Engagement with project controls, finance and project management disciplines to support line management with correct cost allocations.
Help to ensure that commercial processes are adhered to across the Project and actively seek to improve processes and procedures.
Support line management with drafting of contract management (Early Warnings, Compensation Events).
Experience/Skills
2+ years in similar commercial role in a contracting organisation
Knowledge of NEC forms of contract and schedule of cost components
Experience of Nuclear sector or similar highly regulated environments
Knowledge of best practice in applications for payment and reconciliation
Track record of delivering applications for payment
