As a Project Delivery Graduate you will have exciting opportunities to be coached and mentored by our in-house experienced project teams, to act as the focal point for work scopes and activities in support of the Operational Business Delivery Teams.
During the graduate programme you will be provided with experience of working in all of the supporting departments of a project delivery business, such as HR, Business Development & Commercial, HSEQ, Procurement, Plant Control & Logistics and Project Controlling.
You shall have direct involvement with the implementation of engineering, maintenance and construction projects to ensure that all Client and Company’s operational, HSEQ and commercial expectations and targets are met.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The Project Delivery Graduate is directly responsible to their assigned Project Manager/Team Leader and the role will require but not be limited to the following:
CUSTOMER
Plan operational resources in conjunction with client representatives.
Communicate progress of work scopes through liaison with clients on a regular basis.
Ensure that all client expectations are delivered.
Follow up customer enquiries and demands promptly.
Identify and react to shortfalls in customer service.
Cultivate and develop good customer relations.
COMMERCIAL
Plan and monitor the contract budgets and costs.
Manage and monitor the selection and requisition of all plant, equipment and materials.
Optimise deployment and performance of personnel to achieve or exceed performance targets.
Communicate progress and any operational difficulties and commercial implications to the customer.
Manage negotiations with the customer where any variations and changes to contract carry commercial implications.
Communicate the progress, variations and costs of the contract to the customer and company management and suggest improvements and efficiencies.
LOGISTICS
Plan and monitor the requisition and expedition of all resource requirements including material, equipment and personnel (including subcontractor services)
Liaise with the HR team and customers regarding resource requirements and mobilisation of personnel.
Ensure co-ordination of shipments to worksite through logistics department
OPS & TECHNICAL
Gain a good working knowledge of core disciplines
Oversee the planning and implementation of the contract and specific project work scopes.
Communicate team goals and promote high standards of workmanship and customer service.
Manage activities including those of sub-contractors.
Monitor activities to ensure compliance with BMS procedures and appropriate risk assessments.
Provide technical support to offshore and onshore teams across all disciplines.
Attend project kick-off meetings
Liaise with discipline engineers to gain knowledge of future projects.
Ensure that CTRs, project estimates, work instructions, & work packs are delivered in a timely manner
Work with commercial department to optimise tender values and specifications.
Initiate contract files for all customer and project information.
Manage growth and variations
Set up and maintain key communications with contract focal points.
SAFETY
Understand the company BMS, ensuring at all times the works are undertaken and maintained to the highest safety standards
Ensure that all operations are reviewed and planned to ensure compliance with Company and legislative requirements.
Promote safe working practices and safety awareness through implementation of the HSEQ Improvement Plan, safety campaigns, safety meetings and briefings.
Ensure that all equipment and working practices are monitored to ensure compliance.
Ensure that company procedures are implemented if safety procedures are breached.
Ensure that all hazards are identified and assessed to mitigate risk exposure.
TRAINING
Attends and fully participates in all training and safety courses as requested by line manager or by the company.
There will be an expectation to undertake visits offshore to energy installations both hydrocarbon and renewable as required.
Experience & Qualifications
Experience in fast paced work environment
Degree qualified or HND in related subject eg Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering etc.
