Your Purpose

 

As our HR Business partner (FTC), you’ll partner with our Logistics and World Class Supply Chain teams.  This is a fantastic opportunity to partner with highly successful teams and provide consultative HR support to Directors and their teams across the UK.

 

This is a pure generalist HR role in which you’ll get to drive the development and delivery of the People Plan for the Logistics and World Class Supply Chain teams, aligning the people strategy with business needs and working towards our 10-year EMEA APAC business strategy. You will also collaborate with our centres of expertise for Reward, Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations and Talent, leadership & Development to brilliantly execute our cyclical people processes.

 

This is an opportunity for someone with generalist HR experience, likely in a HR Advisor role or similar, to develop your career into a business partnering role within a large, supportive HR team (who have been instrumental to us gaining the Top Employer award for 10 years!).  You will gain exposure to change programmes and may wish to take on additional project work on a variety of themes all with the same goal to enhance the employee experience.

 

This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract, based in Burton on Trent on a hybrid basis. We are open to considering part time/job share.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Supporting with the execution of core people processes, e.g Performance Cycle, Talent Planning and Annual Compensation Planning etc. 
  • Contributing to the recruitment and headcount forecasting processes.
  • Owning all core people processes and forecasting tools for your customer group.
  • Supporting the HRD/HRBP with large scale change projects (as agreed per project) and owning smaller scale/for own customer group.
  • Carrying out data analysis and providing insights from HR information/scorecard to support HRD/HRBP's on driving actions from these.
  • Acting as a point of escalation for the HR Centre's of Excellence (CoE) should there be an issue within their area of responsibility e.g. salary overpayments, core development programme attendance etc. With a focus on continuous improvement provide feedback to the CoE teams on improving core people processes.
  • Supporting line managers by offering practical advice and being the first point of contact for employees to help, support and give guidance on the HR self-service model.
  • Driving the culture of developing line manager capability through ongoing coaching, capability builds and stepping into more formal training within your customer group(s) where required.   
  • Supporting the development and drive progress of the People Plan for own customer group. 

 

About You

 

  • You’ll have developing generalist HR experience, gained in a HR Advisor role (or similar) where you have supported cyclical HR processes.
  • You’ll have knowledge and experience of the application of employment legislation to individuals and groups.
  • You’ll be able to manage competing priorities and challenge the status quo.
  • You’ll have excellent stakeholder management, relationship building and influencing skills.
  • You’ll be keen to learn and develop through new challenges.
  • You’ll have a full, clean driving license.
  • You’ll have a HR qualification, e.g. CIPD Chartered Membership or be progressing towards it.
