GENERAL SUMMARY: Performs a variety of non-repetitive tasks in controlling and monitoring of chemicals within the manufacturing production organization in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations such as EPA Clean Water Act and DOT Toxic Substances Control Act.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ability:
Must be able to be certified on forklift, respirator, Confined Space, Emergency response, and HAZCOM systems. Must be able to perform and/or pass, Fire Extinguisher training.
Education:
Certificate in Environmental Waste Management preferred, High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience:
Six months experience within manufacturing environment handling hazardous waste materials or chemicals preferred.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged period(s) of standing may be required. Must be able to lift, push or pull 40 lbs regularly and perform continuous, active, physical effort. Work may require the use of specialized safety equipment. Must be able to work outdoors in summer temps, confined spaces and in required PPE.
