The Position

The Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Advisory group at NNI is responsible for catalyzing Novo Nordisk's fundamental growth objectives via bespoke, evidence-based M&A advisory services. Reporting into the Executive Director of M&A Advisory, the Director, M&A Planning responsible for designing, leading and driving overall operational effectiveness and productivity measures designed to support M&A Strategic Advisory group objectives.

 

Relationships

Position reports to the Executive Director, M&A Advisory.

 

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for providing strategic and operational support to Executive Director & Head, M&A Advisory
  • Oversee M&A Advisory group project management efforts
  • Lead the development of processes designed to enable effective and aligned functional strategies, including opportunities to drive innovation and efficiencies
  • Responsible for developing, monitoring and analyzing KPIs to drive group performance
  • Ensure that critical projects will be communicated, aligned and coordinated across team members to optimize workflow and according to business needs and business critical priorities
  • Ensure departmental projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Oversee the management of relationships, contracts and projects with vendors

 

Physical Requirements

20-30% overnight travel required. 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • MBA required
  • Minimum of 10 years of industry or M&A experience required
  • PMP or equivalent training preferred
  • Doctoral degree (PharmD, PhD or MD/DO) preferred
  • Relevant experience includes:
    • Proven ability to build strong collaborative relationships
    • Cross-functional experience in multiple functional areas
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and engage stakeholders in a dynamic environment with tight timelines
    • Possess strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Possess superior communication skills, both oral, written and presentation, and ability to engender trust and respect of peers and superiors
    • Uncompromising ethics and high standard of personal integrity
    • Proven track record of strong teamwork, innovation, and project management

 

The base compensation range for this position is $225K to $275K. Base compensation is determined based on a number of factors. This position is also eligible for a company bonus based on individual and company performance. 

 

Novo Nordisk offers long-term incentive compensation and/or company vehicles depending on the position's level or other company factors.
