The CNC Operator/Grinder will produce high-quality, precision tooling used in the Maag family of products. They will us the necessary machine shop equipment in the production of this tooling in a safe and productive manner. Will work in a team-oriented environment with individual responsibilities in specific machining processes.
Position Description - Tasks, responsibilities, competencies
- Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions of product for accuracy and conformance to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Perform basic machine set-ups as designated by the machine shop manager
- Use the most effective and efficient methods to operate each machine
- Set the correct machining parameters for the use of each cutting tool.
- Dimensionally and visually inspect the product to ensure the product meets all print and customer requirements
- Enter data in a database
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
- Follow both written and verbal work instructions, work sketches, and use shop math
- Other tasks as assigned by manager

Work Environment
- Work in this position is in a machine shop environment. The employee may be exposed to airborne particles, metal shavings, sharp cutting tools, and moving mechanical parts. PPE and hearing protection are required at all times.
