The role
As a Warehouse & Logistics Operative you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. We are a leading design consultancy providing naval architecture, marine system engineering, electrical engineering, design modelling and project support services to the marine and defence markets.
Day to day, you’ll work within a dedicated team, supporting the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure the cost effectiveness of all operations within the Warehouse organisation.
Additionally you will also be accountable for:
- Ensuring the safe custody, maintenance, security, and accountability for materials/equipment stored.
- Ensuring that daily activities, such as issues, receipts, material deliveries to customers, etc., are prioritised and progressed in a timely manner to meet specified targets.
- Progressing cycle count programmes, investigating / resolving subsequent discrepancies, to ensure and maintain stock accuracy.
- Taking all possible means to resolve all customer enquiries, and provide follow up action, or feedback, when required.
- Ensuring that housekeeping standards, including Health and Safety policies and regulations are maintained.
- Ensuring that any Health and Safety concerns within the Warehouse area, are reported for corrective action.
- Carry out in-house training, where required, to ensure skill levels within Warehouse are maintained.
This role is full time 36 hours per week based at Rosyth onsite, Monday to Thursday 7.30am – 5pm and will include a day and night shifts on rota system which is fortnightly.
Essential experience of the Warehouse and Logistics Operative:
- Basic knowledge of Windows based IT systems
- Good written, numeracy and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work comfortably as a key player
- Enthusiasm and commitment
- Flexibility in working practices
Desirable/Preferred
- Forklift Truck/Side-loader Certificates
- Good problem-solving skills
Qualifications for the Warehouse and Logistics Operative:
