The role
As a Confined Space Permit Controller, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be working on state-of-the-art military platforms, supporting the Commissioning Group and production teams to ensure that maintenance programs can be conducted safety and to the project plan.
This is a critical role to ensure safe systems of work are adhered to and ensuring all confined spaces are safe to work in and all risks are mitigated.
Day-to-day, you’ll play an integral part of the control of tanks and confined spaces on submarine platforms at Devonport Royal Dockyard in accordance with legislative and company policy requirements.
You will interact with sub-contractors, ships staff and production teams to provide advice, ensure adequate controls are in place and record all aspects of work within confined spaces across the submarine business unit.
This position involves working in confined spaces. Candidates must be able to work comfortably and perform tasks in restricted spaces.
This role is full time 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
