The role
As an ILS Solutions Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary, designing and delivering an optimised support solution that meets the customer’s needs for availability and carefully manages through life costs.
Day-to-day, you’ll design and then deliver the support solution for major bids, primarily focussed on Cyber and Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA). You will work as part of a team delivering a comprehensive bid for new work and will be the lead for the Integrated Product/Logistics Support (IPS/ILS) elements.
Responsibilities as an ILS Solutions Engineer will also include:
- Ensuring that your support solution meets the contractual requirements and promotes the key project themes.
- Demonstrating the principals of Integrated Product/Logistics Support (IPS/ILS) and also project management to plan for delivery.
- Leading on the production of draft ILS/IPS plans, whilst incorporating innovation and continuous improvement into your solution.
- Demonstrating commercial astuteness in clarifying details from the customer in order to positively influence outcomes.
This role is full time and provides hybrid working arrangements with 1 day in the office/onsite and working from home.
Essential experience of the ILS Solutions Engineer:
- Experience of supporting complex systems and equipment.
- Knowledge of ILS standards, particularly Def Stan 00-600.
- Leadership and management experience of multi-disciplined teams. (SNCO level with experience in engineering/ logistics or FLC HQ background)
Qualifications for the ILS Solutions Engineer:
- Level 6 or above qualification or equivalent in experience related to engineering.
- Experienced in a project environment and have project and risk management skills and qualifications.
